Adventure-writer Jack London’s grand nephew, Jack Woodville London, is coming to OTBC this month! During Mr. London’s visit on Sat. June 22, Mr. London will give a talk, read an excerpt, and do a signing. The talk he’ll be giving is: ‘Brideshead and Tara Revisited: The literature of war and nostalgia for the loss of the things we never really had.’

The books he’s bringing to read from and sign are books 1 and 2 from his 3-part series, ‘French Letters’ (‘French Letters: Virginia’s War’ and ‘French Letters: Engaged in War’.) The series is historical fiction about ordinary people dealing with life during WW2. He has won awards for his accurate research of the times he writes about.

Refreshments will be served. We hope to see some familiar faces at this special engagement!
